The station endures

A station carries role, authority, history, tools, responsibilities and relief procedure. The current agent occupies that station; the model is one component available to the occupant.

Heterogeneous by design

Chinese, American and other models are selected according to capability, cost, operating character and fit for a particular watch. The crew’s diversity is operational rather than decorative.

Depth and relief

Critical stations have reinforcement and backup. Relief is a governed handoff of responsibility and context, not simply another model receiving the same prompt.
